Fly fishing in Mexico is where I converted from a freshwater Alaska guy to a saltwater beach bum looking for bonefish tarpon and permit in between cervesas. The Caribbean side is my specialty from the northern Yucatan coast all the way down to the border of Belize. The fly fishing is simply stunning. Lodges range from really rustic to pretty sweet.

Fly fishing was the only option when I was a kid - I grew up on a fly fishing only river in Northern New Hampshire. Not much to do there but fish in the summer and ski in the winter so I learned to do both very well. My fishing career began in Alaska outfitting and guiding float trips for 18 years.
