Flyfishing Chile, In search of fly fishing heaven

We have three lodges on 3,200 acres in Chile (with one partially over the border into Argentina) Our flagship lodge, Yan Kee Way is on the shores of Lago Llanquihue ( pronounced "yan kee way") with spectacular views of the lake and 8,400 foot Volcano Osorno seen in the photo to the left. It is without a doubt one of the finest flyfishing lodges in the world in terms of lodging, food and variety of fishing and other adventures.
El Patagon is owned by Yan Kee Way an is a remote outpost version of the larger lodge. Week long stay only here as it is a chore to get that far. All the luxury of Yan Kee Way is condensed into this fine compound.
Paloma River Lodge is a small private retreat with private guest rooms that can only house 4 anglers at a time. Small, personal and remote as well.
Each lodge is unique; Yan Kee Way has the most luxury, great fishing and a tons of other sport adventure activities like whitewater rafting, horseback expeditions, mountain biking, climbing, trekking, rock climbing, ice climbing as well many activities for the less adventurous such as a good old sight seeing tour or one of our many cultural tours. This is one of the most spectacular settings in the world for a vacation. We fish lakes streams, rivers, spring creeks and even estuaries for sea bright steelhead, sea run browns and 3 types of salmon. All this makes it a unique destination for couples or groups where some people are devoted fly fishers while others want a different vacation entirely. Believe it or not we can satisfy the fussiest of most everyone!!
El Patagon is further south in a temperate rain forest at the base of the mountains. It is so remote our building materials had to be brought in by ox and cart to the property. We have since built a road to El Patagon but the remoteness is obvious. Even with the remoteness we offer a level of luxury that is surprising to everyone who visits. When compared to Yan Kee Way it is not quite as luxurious but when compared to other lodges throughout the world El Patagon can be rated as world class. Southern Chile Expeditions owns a 3,000 acre preserve that is all yours to fish. Estuaries, rivers, creeks and lakes are all sampled during your stay. Although there is not as many alternative activities we still offer a number of activities for the less fishing obsessed guest.
Paloma River Lodge is a small lodge that has been renovated by an American/Chilean family. If you want personal service, a remote setting, and plenty of great fishing you may be looking for this property.
